This is weird as I'm getting people who can play the game no problem and then others who encounter this issue. I honestly have no idea. I'm going to have to check why this is happening and get back to you on it.
For now all I can recommend is closing it and starting again or maybe try play it in windowed mode. Sorry about this!

Would you mind going to your AppData folder on your C drive and going to a folder that would have been created called "doomed astronaut". There should then be a folder for Sanctified that should contain any output or error logs. If they are there could send them to me? I'm trying my best to get this thing fixed :)
Nick Cage jokes aside, I actually did see some parallels with the Wicker Man - intentional or not. The "thing" at the end that wasn't fully shown was pretty neat. I'm kind of glad it wasn't fully revealed and that there's a bit more to think about. The wealth of "Fathers" in this game was pretty confusing, but I guess it makes more sense as a theme than a single character. I did run in to a few issues like the sprint key freezing you while inside and also not being able to jump indoors (probably intentional). I understand the collectibles add a bit of gameplay but I feel like the search for them wasn't too interesting. Other than that it was a pretty nicely packed experience. Looking forward to more from you in the future!
It’s got a very silent hill/resident evil/alone in the dark vibe which I really loved. The story and atmosphere were awesome but the slowness of dialogue let it down just a little bit for me.
All in all it was a very injoyable experience and I'd love to see more of this.
for some reasont he key in the bathroom would only show pick up key like once or twice and i missed it both times because the game window is small by default and i couldnt see the text that much since i was looking for it but please dont make the game windows so small... lol

So none of the graphics except for the text is popping up for me. I can hear myself walk around but again... I see nothing. Could it just be that computer is just trash? xD

Specs shouldn't be too much of an issue. Anything with 2GB Ram or higher with 2.5GHz processor should work. There shouldn't be an issue with most graphic cards.
it's a good start it had me really interested in the story but the ending was kinda meh for me was hoping something like super crazy was gonna happen it was more just like yeah I know I'm screwed lets get this over with but definitely not a bad game I did have one glitch though where I couldn't get off of notes I was reading with the right click and when I hit escape it restarted the whole game but other than that pretty solid game. My play through here: p.s. I'm still confused what the dog thing was that wasn't a dog.
Thanks for making a video I really appreciate it! The note thing isn't a bug, as I want players to take their time and take in what is in the Journal entries. But note taken, I may have to change it in the future.

I actually like it when games have a "make your own conclusion" story, this was pretty well done if a little dark.

I have the same problem too. Only white blurry text and black background. Switching to fullscreen doesn't fix it.

So, i liked the story but was there supposed to be a lighter? (I was holding nothing.)
Removed the lighter to hit the deadline for the game jam. Thing kept bugging out. I'll need to update the screenshots to reflect this.
