Oh, I definitely got lost, sometimes for no good damn reason. Regardless, the journey was very enjoyable and interesting to the end. My favorite part was the statues, I knew they were funny business.

Great atmosphere in this game! I love how subtly spooky it is playing through the cursed tape. I really enjoyed the VHS and analog horror feel to this game as well! Don't expect a lot of jumpscares in this game, but instead a very interesting story and moments that will send tingles down your spine!

Credits and much love to you, developer! Thank you for the AWESOME game. I can't wait for the next one. I get to play this in the Philippines!

The visuals are great and the found footage works perfect for the game, the grainy visuals of the camera really make all of the dark imagery that much more striking. Especially the thorned angel statue, that looks so monstrous through the camera lens.

I don’t know how I got lost underground, that was all me, it was not the worst time. I managed to get lost on Meat Shift, and in that game the doors literally closed behind you.

Absolutely great game, and a perfect use of found footage in horror visuals, also definitely an amazing ending to the game.

Great job! You nailed with the atmosphere and aesthetics. The VHS effect was a little too much but nothing major.

Hey! I played your game on my stream! Watch it to see the live review!  Here's the link for it: https://www.twitch.tv/nitro_spacematterplay 😄

I would also appreciate if you could give an opinion on our latest game. Game devs advice is precious because we know better what it takes to make something work. It's called "Backdoor Shifts"

Hey!! I made a video about playing three scary games, and your game was one of them. This was a great game and I enjoyed it.

(+1)

This was a fine experience! My wife and I really enjoyed the playthrough. Atmosphere was on point.

Beautifully made game! Really got that Catholic, Gothic feel from it. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Loved the game!! It was spooky and scary!

Good game, wish I'd gotten the chance to see the end, I got glitched out? Stuck? When I got into the well, I took the right turn at the miniature statue and somehow got stuck at the wall, trying to restart the game gave me the static screen and just stuck there. :(

oh damn, sorry about that!

that’s cool, I’m gonna give it another go later on, will report back here! I need to know how it ends lol

The game had a nice atmosphere and an interesting premise. I kinda wish the monster was used a bit more to enhance the atmosphere. But beyond that, decent game.

this game was great, here is some goofy gameplay :)

Good game. It's scary and creepy

The story here is fantastic. I've always found horror centered on religion or the occult especially chilling. Also, I'm looking forward to the other new game you mentioned recently! Thanks for the creepy experience. My "No Commentary" playthrough is here>>

hey! Thanks so much for checking it out and making a video! Glad you liked it :)

A casual, yet dreadful walk through some unnerving settings. Definitely worth the asking price!

Here's my no-commentary playthrough:

Superb original and unique game, but with its flaws and lack of delivery.

I do always check if the game has a big developer behind it and seems like your portfolio is fantastic. The most unique take on the VHS horror genre and twisted take on the religious stigma with an amazing, mind bending visuals (literally, bending the screen from left to the right was a brilliant design), creepy and tension filled underground sequence and superlative sound design with a perfect blend of irritating and confusing camera shutter.

Yet, the game is far from being perfect and the reason is the lack of balance between the sequences and scares. Now, I am not a huge fan of jump scares and overall scary sequences, because for me horror means to have a quality content connected to the overall story and making sense in the end. This game did a good job with the story, but I have to admit, after waiting for a long time, I got used to the "clay like" monsters and the statues, because they did no harm and I fully became of self aware that I was playing a game and not participating in the story. This might be a minor complaint, but overall, it does fall flat in the end, because I was left with no feelings, no scares and I was just waiting for the game to end.

The most amazing sequence, which did lack the same "effort" I was describing above is underground sequence. While, it still did terrify me, I wandered what could have been done better. Same way, I though the upper ground levels could have used some more tension filled, atmospheric ambience or maybe couple of jumps, just some.

Overall, this game was a delight. I enjoyed myself fully, I dig the style, the story and the eerie character of the "Lady Of Sorrow". Great Job developer(s).

Yo thanks for checking it out and for the feedback! I really appreciate it :)

Nice bite-sized indie horror game!

(+2)

Pretty neat game overall, the soundscape was a bit empty at times and some things like those ash bodies or whatever they were seemed to have very large hitboxes.
Now what I'd love to know is the backstory behind those 15th century Viking raids =P

(+1)

Thanks for checking it out. Those statues be thicc.

Viling raid prequel perhaps? Haha
